Our Mission:

Cypress Infield Academy is a ‘for profit’ S Corporation with sole ownership by Steve Finken.   Cypress Infield Academy specializes in professional individual and group-style baseball and softball instruction of players ages 7-18.  Our goal for group-style lessons is to have between 20-30 or a minimum of 4 players at a time working on advanced baseball and softball skills.  The players will be divided up in two groups by age and skill level.  One group will be working with the instructors in the cages on pitching and hitting techniques and the others will be working on defense skills on the field.  Proper technique in fielding a ground ball, turning a double play and complete defense will be taught each session. Group lessons may vary in time between 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how many participants there are in each group.  Individual pitching, hitting or infield lessons can be scheduled with one of our instructors if you would prefer.  Rates may vary by instructor.

What People are saying About Us

Thanks Steve and Brandon for working with Tanner and Julian on their hitting and pitching this past Thanksgiving break. We were so impressed with Cypress Infield Academy having been there this past summer. Both had good seasons and recently made the Saudi Arabia baseball travel team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. We'll play in Kutno, Poland in late July (Middle East & Africa regional) with the hopes of making it to the Little League World Series. Both were excellent contact hitters this past Spring 2010 season thanks to the excellent instruction they received from you. Thanks for going above and beyond with them - particularly that session indoors on our last day in early December.

Thanks,
Rick Beachy

If you're a coach , Cypress Infield Academy gives you that extra practicewhen field use is limited.
But the added benefit you get from C.I.A. is the instructors. Steve and his staff do a fantastic job of
teaching the fundamentals of infield play. They break down the fundamentals for ballplayers to easily and fully
understand the infield positions.  Their prices for field and/or instructor cannot be beat by anyone, I recommend their facility to anyone that wishes to excel their infield game."

Steve,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with Bryce in his hitting.  This is only his second season to play baseball and first year in coach pitch.  Bryce was having a hard time at the plate and got to the point where is was struggling to make contact with the ball.  He was starting to get down on himself and was scared to death every time he went to the batters box.  We have heard great things about the private lessons y'all offer at cypress infield academy from a friend of mine.  Just wanted to let you know after his first lesson in his first at bat he got a hit.  After his second lesson he went 2 for 2 with a couple of rbi's and you could not wipe the smile off his face after the game.  He was so excited about baseball again.  Just wanted to say thanks for making baseball fun again for my son.

Thanks again,
