We welcome a new softball trainer to the Cypress Infield Academy. Stacy Shepherd
Stacy Shepherd comes to Cypress Infield Academy with a long running softball career.
She started pitching at the age of 10 and has played select/travel ball ever since. She played with the Texas Outlaws, the Texas Peppers and the Katy Express.
She graduated from Cy-Fair High School where she was the only freshman to make the Varsity softball team. She was a 4-year letterman and held honors such as First Team all district and All State.
During the college recruiting process, Shepherd chose to attend the University of Texas @ Tyler where she was one of the most recognized softball players ever to play in the American Southwest Conference.
In her collegiate career she holds multiple school records as well as records in the ASC Conference. Some of these include ASC Conference Most Valuable Player and ASC Pitcher of the Year in 2010. Stacy lead the UT Tyler Patriots to two national championship tournaments.
As her playing career comes to an end, her passion for the game, leads her down the road of inspiring young female athletes to chase their dreams of playing collegiate softball.
